Waste Management Services

Future Industrial Services Ltd is well established as a leading player in the specialist field of managing both bulk and packaged liquid sludge and solid hazardous wastes. FIS also provide a range of integrated essential services, such as licensed storage facilities or skips or bins for waste collection and disposal. All waste management activities are strictly monitored by local authorities and environment agencies - SEPA in Scotland and the Environment Agency in the rest of the UK. – FIS can provide advice on technical and legislative issues surrounding hazardous waste and can provide all statutory paperwork.

Waste Stream Evaluation

Before any waste stream can be collected and disposed of, it must be correctly identified and none more so as those which come under the heading of Hazardous Waste. Where possible, we will use your data sheets to correctly identify the waste products. However, where this is not possible, one of our qualified chemists will take samples for analysis using our mobile technical support services.

Handling, Packaging and Labelling

Whether you require bulk collection or have small quantities held in IBCs, drums or laboratory bottles, we can provide safe and cost effective collection and disposal. Where the waste requires re-packaging, re-drumming or over drumming prior to transportation, our team of experts will carry out this function on your behalf. In addition, all relevant documentation and labels will be supplied.

Waste Removal and Disposal

FIS will select the most cost effective and environmentally beneficial treatment, disposal or recovery option for the particular waste type.

All waste will then be transported and disposed of via suitably licensed disposal facility all in accordance with The Environmental Protection Act 1990 “Section 34” (Duty of Care) and The Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005.
